My Most Viewed Posts of 2013

2013 is just about done and dusted so as seems customary I’ll share a quick stat report on my three most viewed posts of the year.

According to the WordPress email I received this morning, this blog was viewed about 64,000 times this year! Wow! 63,000 of those was probably me refreshing the page though! :)

By far the most viewed post with more than 11000 hits on the day of posting in August was:

Messaging as a programming model Part 1

Closely followed by:

Messaging as a programming model Part 2

Surprisingly for me, this one, nearly two and a half years old still receives a lot of views:

Working with URLConnection and Timeouts

Guess a lot of Android devs still struggle with that one!

Thanks to everyone who dropped by and a happy new year to all.

See you in 2014!

R.I.P. Ian Redmond

I was incredibly shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of software developer Ian Redmond who was killed in a shark attack off the Seychelles this week. I had the pleasure of working with Ian briefly in my previous employment and for the first three months of this year sat next to and worked with him every day. Ian was an incredibly nice person, a true gent and I know he’ll be sorely missed by his colleagues.
